Oxford University Press is the largest university press in the world, publishing thousands of titles annually in 70 languages and 190 countries.

I’ve worked with their New York office for close to fifteen years, designing logos, Bible covers and packaging, and book covers for titles on history, medicine, political science, and self-help for their trade and academic departments.

For this project OUP asked me to develop a design for a series of legal titles called “Perspectives on Justice and Morality” that feature cutting-edge work in social justice research. I developed a simple but modern and flexible template and located an extensive collection of both graphic and photographic images that could be used as the series grew, as well as a cohesive group of colors to easily distinguish the individual titles from each other.

The result is an instantly recognizable series with a contemporary look that is both engaging and effective.
