Continuum Publishing
I’ve worked with The Continuum Publishing Company since 1993 when they were half of Crossroad/Continuum, designing book covers for trade and academic titles on Religion, History, Culture, and Self-Help (including a cover for Dr. Ruth). Coincidentally, and unknown to the editors at Continuum when they gave us the commission for The Allied Occupation of Japan, this book had a particularly special meaning to me — my grandfather James Sinclair Killen played a part in the story the book tells. He was responsible for unionizing Japan after the war, though as my family tells it he resigned in protest after McArthur refused to allow the Japanese to collectively bargain.
