Greenwood Publishing
I designed over one hundred book covers for the Greenwood Publishing Company and its imprints Praeger and Libraries Unlimited. The books covered a broad spectrum of subjects, from history and military history to science, self-help, the environment, and the arts — many of them for series that I designed. In all cases, I designed the covers or jackets and carried the production from receipt of outlines through to delivery of print-ready PDF files. Greenwood’s wonderful Art Director Carol Franson-Serra and her production departments were focused and disciplined, allowing me to be highly productive
As with the vast majority of the projects I work on I did the image research and selection for these projects. I was fortunate that Greenwood had a budget that enabled them to purchase rights-managed photos from such stock agencies as Corbis and Getty, resulting in much more impactful designs than is often possible with royalty-free images.
