Book Design for Artists
One of the services we offer at Red+Company is the design and production of books for artists, collectors, and galleries. We recently designed a catalog of the work of Todd Murphy for the Johnson Lowe Gallery in Atlanta, a book of images by the photographer David Rathbone, book of paintings by the talented artist Mark Fuller, a book of images by the French photographer Sophie Gamand, and a catalog of work by Jim Olson.
We’ve also designed numerous books of my own art work and photography using the print-on-demand company Blurb. We produce these books using Adobe InDesign and Blurb’s excellent Book Creator interface. The completed mechanical is uploaded to Blurb and they deliver a high-quality, bound book within two weeks. Their costs for producing such books ranges from roughly $30 to $100, depending on the book size, page count, and binding choices.
In addition to artists, collectors, and galleries, our service may also be of interest to individuals or companies looking to document non-art collections, products, or events, whether for personal, professional, or business reasons.
If you’re an artist, collector, or gallery, give us a call to discuss how we can help you document your own work.
